Hi Amanda, thank you for doing my hair and make-up for my wedding! You really worked with my ideas and really did a wonderful job of making me look a slightly more polished version of myself on the day. You were a joy to chat to and helped me calm whilst all of the preparations were happening on-site and put up with about 100 people coming in and out of the room whilst you worked. Everyone commented on how good my hair looked and it stayed put all day, even with a helicopter headset and a lot of enthusiastic dancing later in the evening.

I have always been somewhat hesitant when having other people do my hair and make-up. Particularly when it comes to makeup. There is always that risk of it not looking quite the way I want, whether they use too little, or worse too much. So, you can only imagine my dilemma in choosing a make-up artist and hair stylist for my wedding. I was married in January 2018 and Amanda did my hair and make-up. I would never have experienced anxiety about choosing a make-up artist/hair stylist had I known what I would be getting with Amanda.
When it comes to the basics of professionalism like arriving on time, sticking to the time schedule etc. (the things you would expect of any professional) Amanda hit all the marks; but, Amanda is not just any professional. Amanda has a presence about her that immediately puts you at ease, and let me tell you on the morning of your wedding that quality is worth its weight in gold. When it came to my mane of hair Amanda didn’t just hear what I wanted, she understood and found a way to execute it. To say the end result looked better than I ever imagined, would be a tremendous understatement.
The comments I received on my hair alone would be enough for me to recommend Amanda; and yet my praise for her work doesn’t end there. As I mentioned, having my make-up done was what I was most nervous about. To me, make up should never be perfect or flawless to the point where it changes what I actually look like. I wanted a natural, romantic and glamorous feel, whilst still looking like myself. Based on my previous experiences this is not so easy to actually get, unless you are Amanda apparently. What she achieved with my bridal makeup was nothing short of beauty, pure and simple.
On our wedding day we the temperature reached a blistering high of thirty-one degrees, and while my smile may have faltered here and there under the heat, my makeup did not. It remained just as it had been applied; from 2.00pm walking down the aisle, until the moment I took it off in the hotel at 1:00am. I am generally a self-conscious woman, often second guessing my appearance. On my wedding day Amanda gave me the greatest gift any bride could ever hope to have, unwavering confidence.
